But both the architects at Elding Oscarson and the homeowners of this stunning home dubbed felt that this desire to explore the edge of life was subdued and overpowered in the last few decades. Hence they decided to fashion a brilliant modern home in an attempt to rekindle this lost flair for life at this scenic Swedish harbor!
This does away with the hassle of a long daily commute and the ensuing carbon emissions as well! Sounds all too simple but it is these simple changes that the designer duo focused on while chalking up the plans for this ergonomic makeover.
By placing the bedrooms on the lower level of the the natural slope of the backyard was used to give those inside ample privacy while keeping them open towards the lush green landscape outside.
It is the top floor that holds the master suite and additional bedrooms. Each level flows into the next in terms of both style and ambiance as the wooden staircase and series of light wells create a sense of continuity. Bright color is kept to an absolute minimum inside the house with wall art and lighting fixtures adding hints of liveliness and energy.
Vintage and unique décor pieces from the 50s are combined with sculptural decorative pieces and colorful artwork that comes from the region. There is a very strong ‘Brazilian flavor’ inside the house and each of the individual elements has been carefully chosen to accentuate the overall ambiance.
